Since joining the New York Knicks in the offseason, Jalen Brunson has been blossoming into a star.
The Knicks knew they were getting a good player, but they likely didn't know they were getting a player who could carry them in the playoffs.
With Game 2 against the Heat on the horizon, the Knicks might have to figure out how to play without their star guard.
Brunson has been listed as questionable for Game 2 with an ankle injury. There has been no discussion about it during press conferences, and reports suggest his ankle is still sore.
Although it appears he'll be playing, our algorithms have identified an edge on a Brunson player prop in tonight's matchup against the Heat.
It's important to note that if Brunson doesn't play in the game, the bet will be void. As long as he plays, the bet will be action.
Jalen Brunson Player Prop Prediction, Projection
The algorithms expect Brunson to fall short of his expected totals. The algorithm doesn't include Brunson's possible injury concerns, so if he's playing through ankle issues, that could bode well for the unders.
The models think Brunson's total for rebounds and assists is way too high. BetMGM has set the total for assists + rebounds at 9.5 with -145 on the over and +110 toward the under.
Brunson has gone over that number in four of his six playoff games. But with him landing on the injury report with second-leading scorer Julius Randle, the current projection is 7.91.
That's good enough for a 25.2% betting edge on the under. .
Do keep in mind that these algorithms work best when you wager with the same unit sizing for each individual bet.
Pick: Brunson Under 9.5 Assists + Rebounds (+110)
