The Eastern Conference finals returns to Miami on Saturday night where the Heat will host the Boston Celtics in Game 6. Bam Adebayo (55% opening tip win rate) will jump center against Al Horford (41% win rate) at the opening tip-off. These centers have split opening tip-offs on the season with each winning three.
These teams have played each other nine times this season and the Celtics have scored first in six of those games. Jayson Tatum (twice), Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Marcus Smart and Horford have all cashed first basket tickets for the Celtics, while Adebayo (twice) and Kevin Love have cashed first baskets for the Heat.
The Celtics are trying to even the series and have done so by putting the ball in Tatum's hands to facilitate the offense, as he has averaged nine assists over the last two games. I like Tatum to get another chance at a first basket on Saturday. I also like what White and Smart were able to do in Game 4, with both players scoring over 20 points. Smart's odds are the highest on the team, and they appear to have some value in this game.
I like Tatum's odds on DraftKings, but that is a first field goal bet. It may be worth it to put a small amount on FanDuel's first basket exact method free throw at +3000 to protect the Tatum play.
