Let's head to Fayetteville, Arkansas as the Razorbacks will look to continue rolling offensively against the Kent State Golden Flashes.

Both of these teams seem to be trending in opposite directions, which usually presents some betting value.

Will this be a slam-dunk spot for the Razorbacks, or will they get caught napping here?

Let's break down both of these teams along with a betting pick, preview and prediction for Kent State vs. Arkansas below.

Kent State Golden Flashes

Oh boy … another week and yet another matchup where the Flashes find themselves as seven-touchdown underdogs. After watching their poor offensive performance last week, I can't say I'm surprised.

The Flashes averaged just 3.5 yards per play in their 56-6 loss at UCF, as they did their part in getting the under home. Unfortunately, the Gus Bus didn't run out of gas, as the Knights ran a no-huddle offense in the final two minutes of the game to cash the over. No, I'm not still salty.

I realize we still don't have a large enough sample size for this Kent State team, but from what I saw last week, I have a hard time believing it'll get right this week.

But there's a slight glimmer of hope here.

Arkansas is coming off a victory and will be the more talented team on the field by a landslide. However, the Razorbacks struggled with allowing Havoc and a high Success Rate on the defense. This suggests that the Kent State offense may actually find some success here.

The Golden Flashes also forced three turnovers in the red zone, so in reality, they could've lost against UCF by another 21 points.

If they can find some occasional stops, the backdoor will be open for the Golden Flashes.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas crushed Western Carolina last week, but I think the final score was a bit misleading. Yes, the Razorbacks racked up 381 yards on offense, but they only outgained Western Carolina by about 90 yards.

Of course, 56-13 looks great on paper when looking at a team's resume, but this definitely could've been a lot closer. Fortunately for the Hogs, they get another cupcake in Week 2.

The Hogs only averaged 2.9 yards per carry, as Raheim Sanders definitely didn't look like his usual explosive self last Saturday. Sanders has since been ruled out for Saturday, which won't help the Razorbacks' ground game.

Quarterback KJ Jefferson, who's known for his explosive runs, also did not look like himself. The Golden Flashes allowed 8.5 yards per carry last week, so this definitely sets up to be a nice bounce-back spot for the Hogs.

The offensive line will remain a question mark due to a couple of injuries, but that shouldn't play a factor in this matchup.

Sam Pittman also said Kee'yon Stewart is back with the team after being arrested, but he will not be available for this matchup.

Overall, the Hogs should be much more successful on the ground in this matchup than in Week 1 as Jefferson return to form. Nonetheless, I still have questions about their ground game that won't be resolved this week.

The Hogs couldn't really get a good rhythm going in the trenches last week, and this will be something to monitor against the Golden Flashes.

Betting Pick & Prediction

This is….ahem…ugly. Forget holding your nose, let's grab a gas mask for this beauty of a pick. Yes, we're going to be backing Kent State here. Nobody in the world seems to be backing them, yet I've seen a lot of sharp money come in on the Flashes.

This is a classic spot where nobody expects them to put up an effort, and the backdoor will be wide open late in the game. Even if the Hogs are up 50-0 early in the third quarter, they'll pull some starters, which will allow the Flashes to have some success late in the game.

I can also see a scenario where the Hogs pick up big chunks through the ground game, which will also allow the clock to run quite frequently here. A lot can go wrong here for Kent State, but I'm grabbing my scuba gear and going dumpster diving with the 38.5 points.
