Syracuse Orange 2025 Season Preview

The Syracuse Orange football team had an excellent 2024 season relative to preseason expectations. In head coach Fran Brown's first season in Syracuse, the Orangemen finished with a 10-3 record and reached the Holiday Bowl, where they put together a decisive win over Washington State. In conference play, Syracuse had a 5-3 record to place them fourth in the ACC, which is quite the accomplishment considering the overall improvement in play across the conference.

Syracuse loses an enormous chunk of their starting offense from the 2024 season with the departures of quarterback Kyle McCord, running back LeQuint Allen, and tight end Oronde Gadsden to the NFL. The team will be much younger in 2025, likely leading to a down year due to inexperience. However, Fran Brown's program is already proving effective, so Syracuse should not be counted out just yet.

The markets are expecting Syracuse to see a massive decline in 2025 with a weak 5.5 win total over/under from consensus sportsbooks. Only time will tell if the youthful Orange roster can beat the projections.

Syracuse Orange Point Spreads

Spread bets take into account the expected margin of victory and not just the outright winner of a game. Here’s one example:
