TCU vs BYU Pick

This transcript is from this week's Big Bets On Campus podcast. Listen to the full Week 12 epsiode here:

Stuckey: I like TCU at anything over a field goal.

TCU should have beaten Iowa State last week. The Frogs were up 11, but the Cyclones returned a punt for a touchdown and won the turnover battle.

They’re due for some positive regression.

You never know what you’re going to get with TCU, as they’re a little Jekyll and Hyde. Still, I power rate the Frogs ahead of BYU.

Collin: Iowa State had only one red-zone trip last week.

It wasn’t the defense’s fault that the Frogs lost — it was a subpar offensive performance.

But Josh Hoover is about to see a 3-3-5 stack defense for the second time in eight days, which should help immensely.

BYU’s rush attack was stuffed by Texas Tech’s defensive front last week. The Red Raiders have an elite defensive line, but TCU is a great tackling team that ranks sixth nationally in broken tackles allowed.

Additionally, the Frogs have done well against inside-zone rush concepts, which is all that Bear Bachmeier and LJ Martin want to do.

Pick: TCU +3.5
