The Connecticut Sun are power rated very highly and lead the WNBA standings at 13-2. However, this comes after dropping their most recent contest against the Aces, and they will stay on the road to travel from Vegas up to Seattle.

The Storm are taking clear sharp action early, but the line hasn’t moved too far yet. I’d play the Storm at -1 or -1.5 and expect this to close around -2.

The Connecticut Sun haven't lost two straight this year, and I don't think they start tonight.

Jewell Loyd is no stranger to bounce-back performances, but she had one point in the Storm’s loss against the Las Vegas Aces last game.

One.

The Sun are the absolute last team you want to see after that.

The Sun’s two losses have been to the Aces and Liberty this year, and the Storm are on a two-game skid not long after six straight wins, but this is a Sun defense that travels. I think the Sun win outright.

Pick: Sun Moneyline (-110)

The Mystics have been an absolute wagon in the first half this season. Despite just three wins, they are by far the best first-half team in the league at 13-3 ATS.

Meanwhile, the Wings just can’t catch a break from the injury bug this season. Satou Sabally (shoulder), the WNBA’s reigning Most Improved Player, has yet to play a game this season while she deals with a shoulder injury that will likely keep her out of action until after the Olympics. Maddy Siegrist (finger) also recently underwent surgery and will be out indefinitely.

The Mystics have dealt with impactful injuries to Brittney Sykes (three games played this season) and Shakira Austin (six games played) but have weathered the storm despite the absences.

This same matchup played out yesterday, and it was basically a Mystics blowout from start to finish. Aaliyah Edwards missed last game, which forced the Mystics to go smaller and take advantage of the Wings’ lack of speed and quickness due to their size.

I like this play regardless of Edwards’ status since the Mystics found success yesterday without her, but I’ll like it more if she plays.

It’s tough to beat a team two games in a row, and Dallas might try to set the tone early, the Mystics still have the edge in the first half and should continue their early-game success.

Pick: Mystics 1H -0.5 (-112)

Chennedy Carter Over 15.5 Points (-120)

I’m going back to the well.

Chennedy Carter has hit this over in three straight games and in both matchups against the Fever this season. She's averaging 16 points per game over her last eight and has exceeded 15.5 points in six of those.

The Fever didn’t particularly guard her well in their first two meetings, and I think Carter will play the spark-plug role to success again — this time at home.

Pick: Chennedy Carter Over 15.5 Points (-120)

I’m targeting another first-half play for this bet because there are some more opportunities for value in these less direct markets.

My model shows value on the Sky in the first two frames, where they’ve been great all season—especially at home where they’re 7-1-1 ATS. On the other hand, the Fever have been a .500 ATS team in the first half at home, but on the road they’re just 2-7.

Moving forward, I am generally higher on the Fever, who were the victims of a brutal schedule to start the season, but the Sky have now lost both matchups against Indiana this season. With the rivalry between these teams, I expect the Sky to come out fired up on their home court and cover the first half.

Pick: Sky 1H -0.5 (-105)
