Liberty vs. Sky
By Jim Turvey
The Liberty travel to Chicago to take on a pesky Sky team on Tuesday, and it's going to be a tough spot for Sabrina Ionescu.
Ionescu is scoring fewer points from the perimeter than last season, but she still takes over seven threes a game and collects over seven points a game that way.
The Sky, on the other hand, have excelled at limiting opponents from deep, allowing just 19 attempts to their opponents per game, the fewest in the entire WNBA. The Sky defense, as a whole, has been excellent to start the season, allowing the fourth-fewest points per game in the league.
However, there's another part of this cap. Ionescu has continued on a trend this season where she scores much better at home. For her career, she averages 16.9 ppg at home compared to 14.5 on the road. Last season, it was 18.5 vs. 15.7; this year it's already 18.8 vs. 14.0–the split only getting greater. It's not a blind bet spot for me, but when it aligns with a tough matchup as well, it becomes a best bet.
I'd play this to under 16.5.
Pick: Sabrina Ionescu under 18.5 points
Mystics vs. Sun
The Washington Mystics are the worst team in the WNBA so far, and the Connecticut Sun are, so far, the best — though, we'd all acknowledge that the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty are still, for now, No. 1 and No. 2.
Regardless, the Mystics are 0-8 and the Sun are 7-0. The Mystics are the worst offense and the Sun are the best defense. The Sun are a middle of the road offense so far, although, they could put up a big number against Washington.
But blowouts don't often hit overs, if this even becomes one.
The Sun haven't allowed more than 84 points yet, and already have an 84-77 win over the Mystics this season, which would be an over. But the Sun have allowed just 47 (!!) and 72 in their last two. I think it'll be a slight under, but an under no less, unlike their previous meeting.
Pick: Under 156.5

Mercury vs. Storm
By Jim Turvey
Who's ready for a revenge game?!
Skylar and the Storm get to go up against her old team on Tuesday, and while many of the parties that made the parting a bit bitter are no longer around, Skylar is never going to pass on an opportunity for a little revenge against the Mercury.
Beyond the revenge angle, Skylar's points have been a look for me in recent games. She started the season reallystruggling shooting from the field, but has heated up as the team is starting to click a little better. After shooting 30.3 percent from the field and 1 of 15 from three in the first five games, she is shooting 60 percent from the field and has hit 6 of 11 threes in the three games since–talk about catching the falling knife!
The final piece of the puzzle is the Mercury themselves. They give up the second-most points per game, as well as by far the most three-pointers per game. I wanted to target either Jewell Loyd or SDS to have a big game on Tuesday, and with the revenge angle, it's Skylar who gets the nod!
