Napheesa Collier First Lynx Basket (+180)
Napheesa Collier is coming off an utterly dominant series against Phoenix in which she averaged 40 points per game on an unfathomable 77.9 true shooting percentage.
Phee remains Minnesota’s clear go-to scorer and best option to break this elite Sun defense, which posted the top defensive rating in the W. Connecticut, in particular, shuts down opposing guards, so Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams may see a dip in production.
Meanwhile, Phee has taken Minnesota’s first shot in 14-of-36 games this year. That 38.8% mark paces the Lynx and ranks among the best in the league.
Collier has the first basket usage and scoring volume to fire on this prop. And while her matchup isn’t great, it’s not desirable for any of the Lynx players.
Napheesa Collier 20+ Points (-280)
As stated above, Collier is scorching hot, and Minnesota’s guards may have trouble posting respectable scoring numbers here. Phee should have the volume to hit 20 points with ease, and she’s typically a highly efficient scorer.
To be more granular, the Sun have struggled to handle rollers with touch around the basket. Rim scorers also have found more success against Connecticut than outside shooters.
Overall, the Lynx need a monster scoring night from Phee, and she sits in the best position of any Minnesota player to explode.
In three matchups this year, Collier scored 31, 9, and 25 points. The nine-point performance saw her play only 24 minutes, and Phee will be around 40 minutes in Game 1.
