Duke and Florida State square off in Tallahassee on Saturday, with the Blue Devils opening as a five-point favorite.

The Blue Devils are winners of three in a row and want to build more momentum. Meanwhile, Florida State has lost four of its last five games and could use a signature victory over a top-10 opponent.

Here's NCAAB odds and a pick for Duke vs. Florida State.

Duke Blue Devils

Duke has started to crank its level up on the defensive end, showing in the win column.

Jon Scheyer's team is also back to full health, with guys like Tyrese Proctor returning after missing time throughout the early portion of the season.

Kyle Filipowski is among the conference's most dynamic scorers. The sophomore has several paint moves but can stretch defenses with his catch-and-shoot prowess.

But if Duke wants to establish itself as a legitimate National Title contender, it needs more shot-making.

Jeremy Roach is a veteran guard who can make shots from deep, but aside from him, there's been little consistency in that area.

In the matchup against the Seminoles, Duke must take care of the ball against a swarming FSU defense that will jump passing lanes.

The rebounding battle will also go a long way in determining who has the edge at the Tucker Center.

Florida State Seminoles

It's been an up-and-down year for Florida State, and the Seminoles would like nothing more than to knock off the Dukies on their home court.

Offensively, the Noles rank outside the top 100 nationally in offensive efficiency, which has been a thorn in their side all season.

The roster doesn't have a lot of guys who can make shots from deep, and they lack a back-to-the-basket post scorer.

However, Leonard Hamilton's team does guard hard, a staple of his program.

FSU should be able to use its length to apply some pressure on the Blue Devil ball handlers, which could get Duke out of rhythm in the halfcourt.

If the Seminoles can muck this game up and make it a slugfest, there's a path for them to hang around.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Duke has the talent advantage, but I like the spot for Florida State here coming back home as an underdog.

Jamir Watkins can score it in various ways, which will help the Noles keep pace.

I expect a "hair on fire" type of effort from Hamilton's team against the one team in the conference that everybody wants to beat.

FSU was right there with North Carolina before a meltdown in the final minute, and there's no reason the Seminoles can't compete for 40 minutes against Duke.

Give me the Noles at home with the points.

Pick: Florida State +5.5 (Play to +5)
