After a wild game against the Buccaneers saw Brett Maher miss four extra points, the Cowboys' kicker missed yet another point-after attempt in the second quarter of Dallas' NFC Divisional Round game against the 49ers.
Bettors had chances to cash in on the miss in a big way, as multiple sportsbooks had props up on whether Maher would miss another extra point, and the "yes" sides were heavily juiced.
At BetRivers, there was a +250 prop on Maher to miss an extra point in the game. The bet would have been void if he didn't attempt an extra point.
An even juicier option was available at SuperBook in Las Vegas, which had the "Maher to miss an extra point" market at +500 for yes and -700 for no. In this instance, the bet would have cashed to the no market if an extra point was not attempted.
When Maher's second quarter extra point was blocked by the 49ers, these tickets were paid out. Interestingly, it appeared that even if the kick was not blocked, it was going wide left.

Jeff Sherman at SuperBook told Action Network's Darren Rovell that bettors didn't necessarily hammer the yes market, but the book did take a loss because of Maher's latest miss. Sherman said the sportsbook "lost on the prop with more yes than no support."
If the Cowboys advance to the NFC Championship Game, Maher's job will certainly be in question, and you have to feel for him. However, it will also create an opportunity for more sportsbooks to get involved in his betting market. Most major online books only offered kicking points for Maher and had no options for any extra-point props.
