My NFL pick for this game is on the home favorite. Bears vs. Browns odds for NFL Week 15 have Cleveland installed as a three-point home favorite on the spread with a game total of 37.5.
Chicago has quickly gone from potentially holding the top two picks in the 2024 NFL draft to holding just the top pick and potentially sneaking into the playoffs. The Browns, on the other hand, are the NFL’s version of a pinball, looking like they can beat any team one week and looking beatable the next.
Let’s take a deep dive into the matchup and make a Bears vs. Browns prediction.

Bears vs Browns Prediction
Despite having four quarterbacks start multiple games this season, Cleveland has managed to keep itself atop the congested AFC Wild Card race.
While cycling through quarterbacks is a nightmare scenario, the Browns have made the most of it by adjusting their offense quickly to accommodate Joe Flacco, who is the best of the Browns quarterbacks at running a traditional offense and playing within a system. Flacco’s skillset has allowed Cleveland to utilize different targets and attack all points of the field.
The tradeoff is the loss of quarterback mobility and playmaking outside of structure. As a result, the ground game has suffered. Cleveland has failed to surpass 90 rushing yards in both of Flacco’s starts. They had only fallen below 90 yards in one game before the Flacco era.
The reason Cleveland has overcome so many starting quarterbacks is exquisite defensive play. Cleveland ranks first in yards per drive allowed and second in points per drive allowed.
The only problem for the Browns has been their offense allowing opponents too many opportunities. This drops them from second on a points-per-drive basis to 14th on a per-game basis.

The Bears have one of the hardest teams to project on a week-to-week basis.
While they've been playing better of late, they struggle with one major thing on offense: turnovers. Chicago has the fourth-most drives that end in turnovers — however, its defense forces a turnover on the eighth-most drives.
The Bears have eight games with multiple turnovers committed and six games with multiple turnovers forced. Chicago’s latest three games have been a run of the fortunate type as it has forced 11 turnovers and only committed three.
The constant for the Bears has been success in the run game on both sides of the ball. Chicago is seventh in yards per carry and third in yards per carry allowed.
A strong rushing game will play well against a Browns defense that ranks 14th in yards per carry allowed.

Betting Picks & Predictions
This matchup lives up to the adage that "styles make fights."
The Bears are built on the run and can stop the run on the other side of the ball. The Browns eliminate the opposition's passing attack and move the ball through the air on offense with Flacco.
The catch to picking either of these teams is the risk of turnovers.
What the Browns have done that the Bears have not is win despite mistakes. The Browns are 5-4 this year when they have committed multiple turnovers while the Bears are 1-7.
The market is with the Bears, but I think the Browns defense will be too much to overcome.
