- The Bills lost Stephon Diggs among others on offense and defense, making them a team that the average bettor may feel comfortable fading - The Jets passed them out as favorites to win the division before the season even started, and the Bills are pissed about it - Bills 2023 Pass Defense at home ranked 5th/32 - Cardinals 2023 Pass YPG on the road ranked 31st/32 - The Bills can’t afford to lose this game, give me the Bills to cover the (-6.5) and possibly win by double digits #ProSystem #ProProjection #Tailing #Fading #NFLBestBets #NFL #BestBets

We’re projecting Shakir as the Bills top WR for now, and it’s not difficult to imagine that given the competition. Keon Coleman won’t be an every down player immediately, Curtis Samuel is probably not 100%, and you can’t easily expect a QB who has used his WRs his whole career to suddenly start looking to the TE at an excessive rate. One of these WR is going to outshine preseason expectations, and our bet is currently on Shakir.

Taking a rookie in week 1, with no preseason, is a massive risk - but I see this one as worth it. I have MHJ projected around ~75 yards per game this season, and set my target to play this line at 58.5, to err on the side of conservatism. It should be a plus matchup in a favorable passing environment for ARI.

Arizona Cardinals Odds, Bet Types, and Team History

The Arizona Cardinals are gearing up for the 2024 season after a disappointing 2023 campaign. Arizona went just 4-13 a season ago, but head coach Jonathan Gannon is entering his second season and quarterback Kyler Murray is now healthy. Murray missed the beginning of last season rehabbing from a torn ACL, but enters the new season with a clean bill of health, which should significantly upgrade this offense.

Speaking of offensive upgrades, the Cardinals also added receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the first round of the NFL Draft. There's certainly a lot of hype surrounding Harrison, and if you think he can win the NFL Rookie of the Year Award, you may want to dig into the NFL futures markets.

The Murray-Harrison combination has Cardinals fans excited and although Arizona has a ways to go to catch up with San Francisco in the NFC West, the Cardinals -- at the very least -- should boast an exciting, explosive offense in 2024.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals

Betting on an exciting team like the Cardinals will be enticing for Arizona residents and national bettors alike. Here are a few options to consider:

Arizona Cardinals Spread

Betting point spreads are wagers based on the expectation that a team will win or lose by a certain number of points. The Cardinals went 9-7-1 against the spread last season. Here's an example of how the spread works using a Cardinals game against the Chicago Bears as an example.

  • Cardinals -7.5 (-118)
  • Bears -7.5 (-104)

In this situation, the Bears are 7.5 point underdogs against the Cardinals. If Arizona wins the game by eight or more points, a $118 wager on the Cardinals would come with a payout of $100. If Chicago won the game outright or lost by seven points or less, a $104 wager would net $100.

Arizona Cardinals Moneylines

Arizona was a moneyline disaster in 2023. Moneyline bets simply require users to select the winner of the game. Payouts are determined by the associated odds. Here's an example of a Cardinals moneyline bet.

  • Cardinals -400
  • Bears +300

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Cardinals the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $100 increments. A wager on the Cardinals odds would mean every $400 bet nets $100. And it's the opposite for underdogs: Here the Bears moneyline was set at +300, meaning a $100 wager would profit $300.

Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet the Cardinals moneyline and a -2.5 point spread. Arizona would need to win by three points or more for that bet to be successful. The risk is greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Use our Odds Calculator to calculate any bet amount or conversion.

Arizona Cardinals Over/Under

The over/under, also called a point total, is a wager placed on the combined scoring in a single game. Bookmakers come up with a number and you can either bet the over or — you guessed it — the under. Here’s how it works:

Let's say the Cardinals play the Bears and the over/under is set at 44 points. A wager on the over would require Arizona and Chicago to score 45 total points or more to win. Betting the under is an expectation that the two teams would score 43 points or fewer. It's also possible for the bet to push, which would happen if the game finished with exactly 44 points scored.

Arizona Cardinals Prop Bets

Player props are wagers on a single player, and they're tied to a single stat found in the box score for a game or even the whole season. These are among the most fun to bet on, especially if you're already playing fantasy football and like the player-specific focus that offers. Check out a hypothetical example below:

  • Over/Under: Kyler Murray passing yards: 3,550.5

In this example, a bettor will wager on whether Murray will throw for more or less than 3,550.5 yards over the course of the season.

Arizona Cardinals Future Odds

A futures bet is a wager that will decided based on a result that takes place later in the season. Future bets can be made on both team and individual player outcomes. Some examples of popular futures bets include:

  • Arizona Cardinals odds to win the NFC West
  • Arizona Cardinals odds to win the NFC
  • Arizona Cardinals odds to win the Super Bowl

Because NFL futures are so hard to predict, bettors can expect highly favorable odds with sizeable payouts should they win.
