We’re looking to make a Patriots vs. Packers pick in NFL Week 2 preseason action on Saturday night, so where's the edge?

Last week, the Packers offense teed off on a Bengals defense that was playing without their starters. Green Bay's offense should face more resistance from the Patriots, who are expected to play their defensive starters again after doing so last week.
The Patriots defense was excellent in Week 1, flying to the ball and holding the Texans scoreless until 12 seconds to go in the first half — and even then, it took an incredible and improbable touchdown catch from Tank Dell.

Mac Jones and the rest of the first-team offense played three series in Week 2 of last year's preseason and could play a bit longer on Saturday. The offense won't be at full strength, however, with the offensive line banged up and tight end Mike Gesicki suffering a shoulder injury.
The Packers' first-team defense figures to see more action after many members either didn't play or only played a few snaps against the Bengals.
It's worth noting Green Bay's backups acquitted themselves well last week, holding Cincinnati to four field goals, with the only touchdown allowed coming on a pick-six off backup QB Sean Clifford.

Betting Picks & Predictions
Pats vs. Packers could get unpredictable in the second half with the volatile Clifford (208 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT last week) likely to see extended time, but both defenses should be able to hold their own early.
This has been a trend in Patriots preseason games of late. Per our Action Labs data, the first-half under has gone 6-0-1 since the start of the 2021 preseason.
