The latest Falcons vs. Buccaneers odds for NFL Week 14 have Atlanta installed as a 1.5-point favorite with a game total of 41. My NFL pick is on the over/under
It's not the flashiest matchup in the NFL Week 14 slate, but this is a massive NFC South game with postseason implications. After a gutsy win against the Jets, the Falcons (6-6) hold an outright lead in the division. They've won two straight and have yet to lose a divisional game this season. The Buccaneers, however, can take first place with a win.
These teams last met in Week 7, which was a 16-13 triumph for Atlanta. Can the Buccaneers avenge that early season defeat and ascend to first place in the NFC South? Find out in my Tampa Bay-Atlanta betting preview, which includes my Falcons vs. Buccaneers prediction.

Falcons vs Buccaneers Pick
Due to the massive playoff implications, expect both teams to pull out all of the stops. Arthur Smith and Todd Bowles are aware of the significance of this game and won’t be afraid to be more aggressive than usual.
The Falcons are a fascinating team. They have a young star running back in Bijan Robinson. They have young stars in the receiving group with Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Quarterback Desmond Ridder isn’t great, but he's improved his decision making since the beginning of the season. He's also performed at a higher level in home games.
Still, Atlanta has struggled to put it all together.
Those offensive struggles have brought some heat on Smith and I think he knows how important this game is for his future. I expect Smith to open up the playbook and try to create some explosive plays.
Tampa Bay's defense started the season hot, but since Week 5, it has been a bottom-five unit in total defense. The Bucs have been banged up all season and this week is no different with Vita Vea (toe), Jamel Dean (ankle/foot) and Devin White (foot) all failing to practice on Thursday.

The Falcons defense is also dealing with injuries.
LB Nate Landman (knee) hasn't practiced, CB A.J. Terrell is in concussion protocol, and CB Jeff Okudah (ankle) didn't practice Thursday. Considering that Atlanta's defense already ranks 29th in pass defense DVOA, it's not looking good.
Offensively, the Buccaneers have been solid under Baker Mayfield. Mike Evans continues to be the epitome of consistency and had two of his best games of the season in the last two weeks. With the injuries in the Falcons’ vulnerable secondary, Evans could be in store for another big performance.
The Bucs have struggled to convert long drives into touchdowns in the red zone (27th in red-zone touchdown percentage). That was Tampa Bay's problem in the first matchup against the Falcons — both teams moved the ball, but failed to generate points.

Betting Picks & Predictions
Neither team has great offensive metrics and the first matchup between these teams generated just 29 points, so the total for the rematch is understandably staying low. This seems like the perfect opportunity to buy low.
This game is being played indoors, the Falcons offense is improving with Bijan Robinson's increased role, Mike Evans should feast and both coaches should be aggressive. All signs point to the over.
