Titans vs. Dolphins
The main reason why Miami is such a heavy favorite in this matchup is the explosiveness of its offense. Miami leads the league in total yardage and ranks second in scoring at 32 points per game — whenever the Dolphins gain steam, it’s incredibly difficult to slow down the freight train, highlighted by Miami scoring 31-plus points in 7-of-12 contests this season.
However, don’t let the year-long numbers fool you into thinking the Dolphins offense is totally unstoppable. Miami has also had its fair share of struggles, especially since the midway point of the season. The Dolphins have scored 20 points or fewer in three of their last six games, though they've managed to escape with wins in four of those contests and avoid a serving of media criticism.
Tua Tagovailoa is known for his quick and calculated decision making. However, he’s been pretty careless with the football this season.
Tagovailoa has thrown an interception in 8-of-12 games on the year, and that trend is gaining momentum as he’s thrown a pick in four of his last six affairs. There's solid value on his interception prop at plus money.
Pick: Tua Tagovailoa Over 0.5 Interceptions (+110)
Titans vs. Dolphins
Plain and simple, Tennessee hasn’t been very good on either side of the ball regardless of who plays quarterback.
The Titans went 2-4 in games started by Ryan Tannehill and averaged 17.3 points scored and 19.5 points allowed in those contests. They are an identical 2-4 since passing the baton to Will Levis, averaging 18.2 points scored and 23 points allowed.
That said, Tennessee usually finds a way to keep its games competitive. The Titans have lost six of their last eight games, but four of those losses had one-score margins. Two of their last four defeats have been by four points or fewer.
The Titans offense certainly hasn’t been anything to write home about with Levis under center. However, we can say the rookie has done a decent job of protecting the football.
Levis has thrown just two interceptions in six starts; he enters this contest following three straight performances without a turnover through the air. I’ll back Levis to keep that streak alive.
Pick: Will Levis Under 0.5 Interceptions (+125)
Titans vs. Dolphins
Miami has enough offensive firepower to run away with a blowout victory in any given matchup. But all things considered, the Dolphins are laying way too many points in this spot, and it has resulted in several inflated player prop lines – but Jaylen Waddle is the focus of this section.
Last season, Waddle averaged 79.8 receiving yards on 4.4 receptions per game. Many people expected him to build upon that success, assuming he'd continue to grow and mature. However, Waddle’s production has been spotty this season, to say the least.
Since Week 4, Waddle has fallen short of the 65-yard receiving mark in seven of nine games. His year-long averages are barely being kept afloat by the fact that he went off for 110-plus yards in the two games he went over his receiving line during that span.
The Titans may own a lackluster record of 4-8, but they're a competitive football team that isn’t accustomed to losing as much as it has this season. And although it isn’t entirely their fault, the Dolphins offense has been overrated since erupting for 70 points against Denver back in Week 3.
This Waddle line is too high.
