UPDATE:Taylor Swift is in the building to root for Travis Kelce at the Chiefs game on Sunday against the Bears. This is not a drill:

And guess what, he scored. And may hit all three of his props. All of you who jokingly pointed toward betting on Kelce's overs — you're looking solid. Kelce needs just one more receiving yard to fulfill his over on touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards.

The best odds pregame for Kelce's player props pregame were:

Travis Kelce Odds, Props with Taylor Swift at Game

  • Anytime Touchdown Scorer: -120 (FanDuel)
  • Total Receptions: over 6.5 +114 (DraftKings)
  • Total Receiving Yards: over 69.5 -132 (BetRivers)

For what it's worth, these odds didn't get more expensive after it was revealed that Swift was in attendance. Sometimes empirical analysis doesn't incorporate qualitative factors enough, after all.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know all too well that there have been some rumors swirling around about the one and only Taylor Swift possibly, maybe dating Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs tight end himself finally acknowledged it on Thursday, saying he put the ball in Swift’s court.

Now, she's at the game.

Spoiler: It's going to be a lot of fun to bet on the Chiefs star to impress Taylor Swift on Sunday against the Bears.

Let’s rewind really quickly. Kelce went to the Eras Tour this summer and shared on his podcast that he wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it – but she didn’t want to see him before or after the show, and he was sad.

Could Travis have been a bit of a mastermind himself, though, playing the long game and using his podcast to get Taylor’s attention? Well, first, according to The Messenger’s Olivia Jackiel, the two are “seeing where things are going” after hanging out a couple times.

Now, here we are: Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game to see Travis Kelce.

Despite rooting for this love story all summer, my first reaction to the latest news wasn’t excitement for the potential couple. It was: Tis’ the damn season to bet on Travis Kelce.”

But how? There are a few ways to bet on Kelce amid the Taylor news and rumors, right? Do we assume Travis is going to come out ready to impress? Or might he be a little distracted by his new potential lover?

And so, I decided to go right to the expert – the Oddsmaker and my fellow Swiftie, Sean Koerner – to get his thoughts.

I said, “Can I ask you a question? How should I bet Travis Kelce this weekend now that he and Taylor might be a thing?”

Koerner quickly replied, “Well she loves the players, and he loves the game. If we get word she will be in attendance (AND SHE IS THERE), I will have a blank space in my bankroll and max bet the over on all Kelce props.”

Considering the matchup against the Bears and Kelce’s injuries, Koerner was expecting a game where the Chiefs lean on Isiah Pacheco and the defense a bit more in what could be a lower scoring game.

Now, this is fair. The Bears haven’t won a game since last October, and why risk Kelce if you don’t need him?

But could it be worth putting a little something on Patrick Mahomes’ favorite red zone target to score a touchdown to try to impress Ms. Swift?

I vote yes, just for fun. SHE'S AT THE GAME, after all.

Kelce’s Anytime Touchdown odds were -120 at FanDuel, which implies he scores 54.5% of the time, per the Action Network betting calculator. So I went to another expert, Dr. Nick Giffen, to see what his projection for the correct implied odds were.

He has fair value at +102 based on his, Koerner and Chris Raybon’s projections, or 49.5% implied odds of a Kelce touchdown — about 10% short of the number we need.

In other words, is that the smartest bet? No.

But is it a fun bet? Absolutely.

Why not put a few dollars down on the chance that Kelce is out to impress on Sunday against the lowly Bears? You’ll have a rooting interest for the whole game – well, as long as Kelce plays, anyway. It’s not a value bet, as the numbers above lay out, but it will be fun to root for Kelce to be that little bit extra motivated to hear the crowds go wild and for Mahomes to try to help him show off.

Me? I really don’t want to end up thinking to myself, “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” if sparks fly in the end zone and Kelce is the one with the ball.

Betting on the NFL with a hint of Taylor Swift hits different. Hopefully, I’ll be the lucky one and cash the bet.

And Travis? She may be Miss Americana, but you better not be the Heartbreak Prince.
