Seahawks vs Commanders odds have Seattle installed as 6-point favorites on the spread — though -5.5 can be found at FanDuel and BetRivers — with a game total of 44.

The Seahawks did not look good last week. They tallied six first downs and 151 total yards as the Ravens dominated them. The loss brought Seattle's record to 5-3, which places them in second place in the NFC West but with an identical record to the first-place 49ers. The Commanders took down the Patriots, tallying 105 more yards and five more first downs than New England.

These two teams are coming off of very different weeks, and now they face off in an NFC showdown. See how I think Washington-Seattle will play out in my NFL Week 10 betting preview below, which includes a Seahawks vs Commanders pick.

The Commanders’ glaring weakness is their offensive line. They are currently allowing the second-most sacks in the league, only behind the New York Giants.

In recent weeks, the Commanders have realized they have holes on their O-line and have called more conservative plays. This allows Howell to get passes out quickly and keeps him from sitting in the pocket.

Washington named Howell its starting quarterback heading into this season, a decision that has been the best-case scenario for the Commanders. His performance to date has been better than expected, and when given the chance to get passes out quickly, he thrives.

Who has been his favorite dump-off pass-catcher? None other than Antonio Gibson.

Brian Robinson has tallied more carries than Gibson, but the latter has separated himself as Washington's main pass-catching back.

Robinson has accumulated 18 targets this season, but Gibson surpasses that with 29 for 25 receptions. Gibson has gained 227 receiving yards, with 7.8 receiving yards per target. Not only has Gibson established himself as the primary pass-catcher, but he has made the most of his opportunities.

The Seahawks offense hasn’t been much of an issue for most of the season. They are top 10 in yards per play, Kenneth Walker has taken a step forward and Jaxson Smith-Njigba has established himself as a viable option.

However, the defense leaves a lot to be desired, which is no surprise if you've watched them at all last year. That being said, they have had some success getting to the quarterback.

Betting Picks & Predictions

Seattle’s defense is lacking in its ability to tackle. Case in point: the Seahawks have tallied 51 missed tackles this season.

PFF has their tackling rating at 49.5, which is 24th in the league. When you consider the pressure that Seattle can create and its inability to bring down the ball carrier, this could equate to quick passes and yards after the catch for Washington.

I expect Washington to set up quick throws, check downs and drop passes to protect Howell and keep him from getting sacked. This means Antonio Gibson could be in for a big day. He has averaged 25.2 receiving yards per game, well over what most books are offering. He will be given plenty of opportunities to further prove himself as a pass-catcher.

Pick: Antonio Gibson Over 16.5 Receiving Yards (-110; bet365)
