PropBetGuy will break down his favorite NFL player props every week throughout this season, and will track all his bets in the Action Network app.
So, let's get right into his top two NFL player prop picks for Sunday's slate of Week 7 matchups, featuring picks for Brock Bowers and Kareem Hunt.
NFL Player Prop Picks
- Brock Bowers 60+ Receiving Yards (-115, FanDuel)
- Kareem Hunt Over 13.5 Rush Attempts (-120, bet365)
One of the few bright spots for the Raiders this season has been the play of their rookie tight end, Brock Bowers. He’s leading the Raiders in targets (46), catches (37), and receiving yards (384) through Las Vegas’ first six games.
Now, with Davante Adams jettisoned to New York, and Jakobi Meyers doubtful to play, Bowers should be in for a significant role in Week 7. He’s already cleared this line in three of his six games, including each of the last two games. In fact, over the last two weeks (without Adams), he’s registered a whopping 23 targets on a 29.9% first-read share, per Fantasy Points Data.
And today, Bowers has a fantastic matchup against the Rams. Los Angeles ranks dead last in DVOA against tight ends, per FTN Fantasy.
The Raiders have yet to get their ground game going, and with them coming into this game as a full touchdown underdog, I envision them needing to air it out.
I have Bowers projected closer to 70 receiving yards today.
After re-signing with the Chiefs to help replace the injured Isiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt has immediately been thrusted into the lead back role for the Chiefs. In his two games, he’s registered 14 and 27 rush attempts.
And even though the Chiefs are going up against the vaunted 49ers defense, I do see some sneaky value for Hunt to get his opportunity. San Francisco actually ranks better against the pass (third in DVOA) than the run (14th) this season. Four of the 49ers' six opponents have had a running back clear this total.
The Chiefs defense (eighth in total DVOA) has been dominant this season, and the 49ers offense has yet to fire on all cylinders. I expect the Chiefs to keep this game close, allowing them to utilize the run game for all four quarters.
The impending return of Clyde Edwards-Helaire likely impacts Carson Steele and Samaje Perine more than it does Hunt. I have the Chiefs' lead back at 15 rush attempts today.
