Ameer is a sports betting analyst who has spent the last six years refining his craft. While his bread and butter is NBA basketball, he's also covered the WNBA, college hoops, the NFL, MLB, college football, and more. His previous stops include DraftKings Network, CBS Sports, and Sports Illustrated.
Experience
Ameer got his start in sports betting working as one of DraftKings Network's first full-time employees in 2019. While he wore a lot of hats there, he quickly developed a knack for NBA betting and DFS in less than a year and a half.
He then landed a job with CBS Sports as its lead NBA betting and fantasy sports analyst. While mass layoffs cut his time there was cut short after nearly three years, he's continued to pump out content for industry leaders as a jack of all trades.
Education
Ameer graduated from High Point University in 2018 with a degree in Sports Communication. He worked as a play-by-play and color commentator for the athletic program and was named the school's most outstanding Sports Communication student in 2016 for his role in co-creating and co-producing its first sports-based studio show.
