For my Wednesday MLB player props, I'll be looking into a pair of hitters in George Springer and Jorge Polanco.

Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for the MLB playoff games on Wednesday, October 15.

In Game 1, George Springer got the Blue Jays on the board with a leadoff home run. The Rogers Centre was rocking, but they have not had much to cheer about since, as the Blue Jays head to Seattle in a 0-2 hole. Springer, however, has remained productive in those losses, recording a home run and a double in the first two games.

Tonight, he will face George Kirby, who was dominant in the ALDS to the tune of a 2.70 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 10 innings. However, he did allow 15 home runs in 126 innings in the regular season and has allowed one in the postseason thus far. While he will be happy that Springer is not Kerry Carpenter, Springer is 3-for-8 (.375) with a double and two RBI against Kirby.

If Springer cashes tonight, it will likely be with an extra base hit. Despite hitting .200 in the playoffs, all five of his hits have gone for extra bases with three doubles and two home runs. He has recorded two total bases in four of six playoff games and seven of his last 10 games dating back to the regular season. I expect that to continue tonight.

Mariners Player Prop: Jorge Polanco Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

In the 15-inning Game 5 marathon in the ALDS, Jorge Polanco went just 1-for-6. However, it was his walk-off RBI single that helped the Mariners advance to the ALCS. Polanco being clutch has been a theme for the Mariners this postseason, as he hit two solo home runs off reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal in a game in which the Mariners scored just three runs.

In Game 2 of the ALCS, Polanco hit a three-run home run in the fifth to break a 3-3 tie as the Mariners went on to win 10-3. He now has recorded a hit and a RBI in each of his last three games. Tonight, he will face Shane Bieber. The two matched up a lot when they were both in the AL Central, but Bieber has battled injuries over the last two years. Still, Polanco is 8-for-29 (.276) with two RBI against him.

With a day off and the Blue Jays now being a desperate team down 0-2, it would not be a surprise if Bieber has a quick hook tonight. However, Polanco has shown that he has no problem coming against the opposing bullpen as well. . . even it takes 15 innings.
