Milwaukee Bucks vs Detroit Pistons NBA Friday Preview

I’ve never seen this before: the Bucks benched their starters up big vs. the Pelicans… and then they benched their rotation players, and then those guys just… left. They left the bench and got an early transport to the airport in order to head to Detroit early and get more rest.

This game is for the 5th-seed. If Milwaukee wins, they lock it up and will face the Pacers who they are 3-1 against this season. If they lose both games vs. the Pistons, then they play the Knicks, who they are 0-3 against.

Why do you have your players leave early if they are not going to play? And if the Bucks are playing all rotation guys except for Damian Lillard, who remains out with a blood clot, then why are they catching over a possession in a game vs. a team worse than them?

Milwaukee is the better team in terms of net rating, ranked higher in schedule-adjusted offense and even in schedule-adjusted defense. They have Giannis. How are they catching 6 points in this spot?

The Bucks are 14-8 SU and 12-10 (55%) on the road vs. teams with a worse winning percentage than them. As an underdog in those spots, Milwaukee is 4-1 ATS.
