The Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat meet to determine who will earn the final spot in the Eastern Conference Playoff Bracket, where the winner will face the Cavaliers in the opening round. These teams will leave it all on the floor in what will be the season's final game for one of them.
Continue below for my NBA player prop picks for Hawks vs. Heat on Friday, April 18.
Hawks vs. Heat Player Props for Friday, April 18
- Andrew Wiggins Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-117)
- Dyson Daniels Under 13.5 Points (+100)
Parlay Odds: +245
Andrew Wiggins has been inconsistent for the Heat since he was acquired in the Jimmy Butler trade but it's primarily been because of health reasons.
When he has been on the floor he has been effective. In 17 games he has played minutes ranging from 22 to 42 minutes and has struggled with consistency in his rotation.
However, now that the games truly matter and he appears healthy, he is going to get as much run as possible. He just played 35 minutes against the Bulls with a 20 point and 9 rebound performance.
He now gets another great matchup against a fast-paced team with a poor defense in the Hawks. He looks healthy.
When Wiggins has played 30+ minutes for the Heat he has exceeded this 24.5 PR line in 8/11 games. He averaged 21.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in those spots.
He should play as many minutes as he can handle here and his rebounding has continuously risen to the occasion in playoff settings, so I'll grab the combo prop.
Pick: Andrew Wiggins Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-117, Caesars)
Dyson Daniels has been instrumental to the Hawks' (relative) successes this season. Daniels is averaging 14.1 points per game this season and while he has had spikes, he still is exceeding this mark in only 48% of games overall.
The interesting thing with Dyson is that more minutes does not equate to significantly more points. Even when he plays at least 35 minutes he still averages just 15.8 points per game.
This matchup with Miami is tougher with Wiggins, Bam, and Ware able to defend on the interior and he is not a strong enough shooting threat to attack a zone or a drop coverage that Miami often employs.
This season he has scored 10, 18, and 9 points against the Heat but he shot an uncharacteristic 8/10 in the game where he scored 18.
Miami slows down the pace and presents a tough matchup for Daniels. I'll grab under 13.5 points.
Pick: Dyson Daniels Under 13.5 Points (+100, BetMGM)
