We have three NBA props for tonight, and I'm is focused on key players who could be in line for noteworthy performances in Game 5 between the Nuggets and Thunder.
Continue below for my NBA player props for Tuesday, May 13.
NBA Player Props for Tuesday, May 13
- Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds (-120, BetMGM)
- Jamal Murray Over 19.5 Points (-125, Fanatics)
- Aaron Wiggins Over 6.5 Points (-130, Fanatics)
Game 4 didn't feature one of the prettiest displays you'll ever see, as the Thunder evened up the series with a 92-87 victory. The teams combined to shoot 33% from the field, the lowest combined field goal percentage in a playoff game in over 20 years.
All of the missed shots created tons of rebounding opportunities, and Nikola Jokic capitalized with 13 of them.
However, against the Thunder, it doesn't take a historically bad shooting day for him to pile up the boards.
Jokic has had at least 13 rebounds in six of his last seven games against the Thunder. He's cleared this line in four of those games in that span. That includes Games 1 and 3 when he had 22 and 16 rebounds, respectively.
Oklahoma City was 23rd in rebounds allowed per game in the regular season, and it's allowing the most rebounds (47) per game in the playoffs as well.
Jokic has been playing heavy minutes in this series, with 40 or more in the three games that haven't been blowouts. While that may be affecting his scoring, the fatigue hasn't affected him on the glass. He's averaged 26 rebound chances per game in this series and has collected 14.8 rebounds per game.
If he has 26 rebound chances again, I like his chances of grabbing 14 on Tuesday.
Pick: Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds (-120, BetMGM)
Along with Jokic, Jamal Murray has been playing heavy minutes, as he's averaging 41.7 minutes per game in the playoffs. In that time, he's averaged 21.7 points per game. He's scored 20 or more in seven of his 11 games this postseason.
Oklahoma City has several tough defenders on the perimeter, such as his Canadian teammates Lu Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
However, Murray cleared this line with 21 points in Game 1 and 27 points in Denver's Game 3 victory in overtime. He's shooting 41% from 3 on 5.5 attempts and 84.6% on 6.5 free throw attempts per game in the series.
Additionally, Murray has been known for rising to the occasion in big moments. In his playoff career, he's averaging 23.8 points per game.
In a pivotal Game 5, I like Murray to score at least 20 points on Tuesday.
Pick: Jamal Murray Over 19.5 Points (-125, Fanatics)
Aaron Wiggins enjoyed a breakout season, averaging 12 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. That included several outings with 30 and 40 points.
That scoring punch has carried over to the postseason, where he's averaging 8.9 points per game in 14 minutes.
He's cleared this line in six of Oklahoma City's eight playoff games thus far.
The hit rate rises at home, where he's cleared this line in three of four home playoff games. In the lone miss, he attempted just one field goal. But that's been rare. He's averaging 6.8 field goal attempts per game in the playoffs, so that's one for nearly every other minute that he's been on the floor.
Oklahoma City will need additional scoring outside of Gilgeous-Alexander to take a 3-2 lead back to Denver. Wiggins has proved himself to be a factor off the bench, and role players often play better at home.
With that in mind, I'll be backing him to score seven points.
Pick: Aaron Wiggins Over 6.5 Points (-130, Fanatics)
