G1 just 15 pts in blowout limited time, lowest point total of the season. Fluke outlier. Elite scorer at huge pace, plenty rested, and scored 35-32-41-37 in regular season at 36.3ppg. Don’t let G1 throw you.

Keep riding. 6ast G1 with 10 potentials even in blowout with limited minutes. Now 8-6-9-4-6 vs Grizz on season, avg 6.6 and over all but one game he missed on the hook.

Bane coming off a game where he finished with 11 PRA in 27 minutes off 3-for-12 shooting. Don’t expect him to be this bad again but the Thunder defense is no joke. Had to deal with Jalen Williams and Lu Dort in the starting lineup, and then Alex Caruso in the second unit. Bane averaged 30.5 PRA this season and 25.5 PRA in four games against OKC. Since we’re getting a line close to his season average, I’ll just take the Under here and bet on this OKC defense.

The 2023-2024 season for the Oklahoma City Thunder marks a continued phase of rebuilding and development. The team, under the guidance of Head Coach Mark Daigneault, focuses on nurturing its young talent and acquiring assets for the future.

One of the key storylines to watch is the Thunder's impressive stockpile of draft picks, positioning them as potential trade partners in the league. Their young core, featuring Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, continues to evolve, with SGA leading the charge as a dynamic playmaker and scorer.

The emphasis on player development remains high, making the Thunder an intriguing team to observe as they seek to develop the next generation of stars. While the team may not be an immediate contender, their approach to the long-term future is setting the stage for potential success in the years to come.

Oklahoma City Thunder fans can look forward to witnessing the growth of their young talent and the team's role in shaping the NBA's landscape through strategic asset management.

Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder

Bettors can find some wins in Oklahoma City utilizing the following bet types.

  • Moneyline
  • Point Spread
  • Over/Unders
  • Props
  • Future Odds

Thunder Moneylines

In the case of a young team like the Thunder, they can be wildly unpredictable, looking competitive one night and getting blown out the next. If you'd rather take a risk on them winning vs. covering the spread, you're looking for what's called a moneyline bet. In these, the margin of victory doesn't matter.

Here's another example of a Thunder game:

  • Oklahoma City Thunder +280
  • Utah Jazz -350

Again, a plus sign designates the Thunder as the underdog. The numbers here, though, reflect the payout structure. A bet on the Thunder moneyline at +280 odds means that if they win, you'd profit $28 for every $10 wagered. The Jazz moneyline of -350 means those bettors would win $10 for every $35 bet.

Thunder Spread

If you're new to betting, this refers to spread bets, which are wagers on the margin of victory or loss in a game. Here's an example of a Thunder match:

The Thunder in this example are the underdogs, which you can tell by the plus sign next to their name. As 10.5-point favorites, a bet on the Thunder spread would cash if they either won the game outright or lost by 10 or fewer points. If the Nuggets won the game by 11 or more, though, the bet would lose.

Thunder Over/Unders

Over/under bets were profitable for the Thunder last season, but they’ve fallen off the path a bit for – overs bettors that is.

Total bets are simply bets on how many points will get scored in a game. Say the Thunder played the Blazers and the total was at 225 points. An over bet on that number would cash if the teams went over 225 points -- 226 or more. An under bet would cash at 224 or fewer. If the game landed at 225 exactly, all bets would push and no wagers would lose.

Thunder Prop Bets

Let's say you don't trust the Thunder as a team but are a big fan of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. You can actually bet just on his performance, and that's called a player prop bet. For example, you can bet on a bunch of his stats, such as whether he'll go over/under a certain number of points, whether he'll record a double-double, and more.

Thunder Future Odds

GM Sam Presti can make a move for a star at any moment with all his draft capital, which means bettors will have to shop for the best line to get good odds on Thunder futures bets. Futures are bets that focus on long term outcomes, like the Thunder to make the playoffs, win the Northwest Division, win the Western Conference, win the NBA Finals, or even individual awards like SGA winning league MVP.

How to Bet on the Oklahoma City Thunder

Sports betting is not currently legal in Oklahoma, and there does not seem to be much in the way of progress for it to be legalized in 2022.
