Orlando Magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers Preview

On Saturday night, the Cavaliers defeated the Magic 119-105 for their fifth win in their past six games.

Donovan Mitchell led the way with 36 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.

Despite the fact that the Cavaliers are well off their 60-win pace from last year, they still have the second seed well within their sights, given their recent surge. They enter tonight's game behind the Celtics.

In the process, they have leapfrogged the Magic, who have lost their last three games.

Through 44 games, the Magic are 23-21 for the third consecutive year, and that has led to some frustration.

Injuries have been a factor this season, as Banchero, Franz Wagner, Desmond Bane, and Jalen Suggs haven't often been available at the same time.

Wagner will miss his third straight game tonight and his eighth in their last 10 games.

In that span, Orlando is 4-6 and ranks outside of the top 25 of the league in offensive rating, defensive rating, and net rating.

Despite the frustration, Banchero has found his groove after returning from injury himself.

Over his past 10 games, he is averaging 23.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, and he had 27 points and five rebounds on Saturday night.

Anthony Black chipped in 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists as well.

Jaylon Tyson nearly matched him identically with 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists. He has stepped up with Darius Garland out of the lineup, as he will be again.

The Cavaliers may get DeAndre Hunter and Sam Merrill back, as they are both questionable.

Magic vs Cavaliers Betting Predictions, Analysis

Jaylon Tyson Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

With Darius Garland out of the lineup, Tyson is averaging 16.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.

He has scored 14 points in the last 12 games that Garland has not played in. However, he has been even better of late.

Over his last five games, Tyson is averaging 20.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and four assists per game.

With his PRA line at 22.5, he can clear this line with just his points and rebounds the way he has been going, but he has had four assists in five straight games as well.

He has recorded at least 23 PRA in each of his past 12 games without Garland.

Magic vs Cavaliers Best Bet

  • Jaylon Tyson Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

Donovan Mitchell 6+ Assists

A few of Tyson's baskets may be assisted by Mitchell, who is averaging 5.9 assists per game in Garland's absence.

He has had six assists in eight of his last 10 games without Garland.

Additionally, in his last three games against the Magic without Garland, he has had at least five assists in each, including 13 and 9 in two of them.

Paolo Banchero 20+ Points

Coming off 27 points on Saturday, Banchero has scored 20 points in six straight and 11 of his past 14 games against Cleveland, averaging 25.6 points per game in that span.

He has also reached 20 points in seven of his last 10 games overall.

Anthony Black 2+ Three-Pointers Made

Black got nine of his 16 points from the perimeter on Saturday.

He has two 3-pointers in seven of his last 10 games, knocking down three in five of those games.

The Cavaliers are 24th in 3-pointers allowed and 28th in 3-point percentage defense.

Magic vs Cavaliers Parlay Picks

  • Paolo Banchero 20+ Points
  • Jaylon Tyson Over 22.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists
  • Donovan Mitchell 6+ Assists
  • Anthony Black 2+ Three-Pointers Made
