This article contains predictions for an old game.

The Atlanta Hawks (29-34) will host the Indiana Pacers (35-26) in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The game will broadcast live on NBA League Pass.

The Pacers are 3.5-point road favorites over the Hawks on the spread (Pacers -3.5), with the over/under set at 246 total points. Indiana is a -162 favorite to win outright, while Atlanta is +136 to pull off the upset.

Let's get to my Pacers vs. Hawks predictions and NBA picks for Saturday, March 8.

Quickslip

Pacers vs Hawks Prediction, Picks

Spread

The Atlanta Hawks took Game 1 between these teams two days ago by a score of 124-118. And I said then, give me whoever loses in Game 1 to win Game 2. But Tyrese Haliburton is still questionable, so that's relatively up in the air.

Still, Indy has the seventh-best against the spread record after a loss at 14-10-1, though they're a poor 5-10 ATS as a road favorite. With Haliburton potentially compromised, I think I'm out on the spread, though it's likely Pacers-or-nothing for me.

Moneyline

The moneyline is also a stay-away for me. The Hawks have decent value, but neither side is very trustworthy here. It's not the end of the world, but Caris LeVert and Terance Mann are also questionable after playing Thursday.

Over/Under

This game went Under what was a very high total last time out. As of this writing, the over/under is at 245.5 after hitting 242 last game.

With a clearer injury report, I'd like to go Over, but that largely rests on Haliburton's availability for me. To the props, we go.

My Pick: Tyrese Haliburton Double-Double (-175) | Trae Young Double-Double (-370)

Indiana Pacers vs Atlanta Hawks NBA Preview

We'll build a three-leg parlay here.

If Haliburton plays for the Pacers, he will be part of the legs. If he doesn't, then it is what it is.

Haliburton is listed at -150 to record a double-double, which he has done in six straight games, and this is a matchup against the Hawkstailored for him to continue in terms of pace and a lack of defense from Atlanta.

Trae Young is -320 to get a double-double. He has done so in six of his last seven games and averages beyond that at nearly 24 and 12 per game.

Since we'd have Haliburton in this scenario, let's take Over 243 as well, which comes out to +218 at FanDuel.
