Kings vs Knicks NBA Preview
The Knicks haven't won three straight in about a month — and this is a revenge spot.
During that stretch of hoops where New York saw defeats in nine out of 11 games, the Kings' beating it in Sacramento was among the low points.
The Kings are the only team the Knicks have lost to on the road that is under .500 on the year.
That's not to say the Knicks are a good road team otherwise; they're quite awful, going 2-11 on the road against teams .500 or better, but arguably their best win this season came Saturday in Philly.
The Kings won this previous match-up 112-101 on January 14, the first of a Knicks back-to-back on the west coast — with the second game being in Golden State.
The Knicks are battling back up the standings as the Kings are doing… whatever it is they do. Seriously, it's just Russell Westbrook padding his career stats and trade deadline showcases at this point.
On the injury front, Zach LaVine (back) and Malik Monk (ankle) are questionable for the Kings. Keegan Murray (back) is expected to remain out.
For the Knicks, no one is listed as of late Monday night, but on the front end of a back-to-back, you may see a name or two pop before tipoff.
Mitchell Robinson isn't playing back-to-backs, and conventional wisdom would suggest he is more likely to play Wednesday against Eastern Conference peer Toronto than tonight, but monitor the reports.
Kings vs Knicks Prediction, Betting Analysis
Deuce McBride isn't an auto-bet like he was before a recent slump, but still, I like him in this matchup.
McBride is under in 2-of-3, but in both instances, he shot 1-of-8 and 3-of-11, respectively, which is uncharacteristic.
Typically, he'll have the volume, minutes and role to go over this, but them's the breaks.
Even with his mini "cold stretch," he is over 10.5 points in 10-of-14, averaging 29 minutes per game during this run.
Even in his last three games, where he has dropped off after back-to-back 20-point outings, McBride is at 24 minutes per contest.
Last time he played the Kings, he finished with 10 and shot 4-for-14, including 2-for-8 from deep.
I'll take 14 attempts again, although in a regular McBride performance, over 10.5 should only take around 10 shots.
Pick: Deuce McBride Over 10.5 Points (-120)
