This matchup is a testament to the depth of the ACC as the Clemson Tigers are ranked 21st in the country, but are just 1-3 in conference play. However, the same goes for their opposition as the Boston College Eagles are solid overall, but have struggled in conference play.

The Eagles appear to be underrated on paper, but have yet to pass any significant tests. According to KenPom, this matchup will be Boston College's toughest to date, so it could be an accurate barometer for how good this team can be.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are off to a rough start in conference play and have lost three straight. The Market favors Clemson in this matchup, but there's another angle that presents more value.

Here's NCAAB odds and a pick for Boston College vs Clemson.

Boston College Eagles

This matchup will be a prime example of the evolution of basketball as both teams will be playing through a dynamic big man. For the Eagles, that's seven-footer Quinten Post.

Post can do it all on the offensive end and is averaging nearly 17 points, over seven rebounds and three assists per game. Additionally, he can stretch the court as he's shooting nearly 45% from beyond the arc.

Post's ability to stretch the floor will be critical in this matchup as it's the one area the Tigers have been vulnerable on the defensive end. However, Boston College doesn't typically shoot a bunch of 3s and only has two other players who are reliable from a distance.

With their projected struggles inside the arc, we could see quite a few cold streaks from the Eagles.

Clemson Tigers

The Tigers getting trounced in consecutive games isn't a trend that was expected from a team that has looked, at time, prolific on offense. Clemson ranks 18th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 26th in effective field goal percentage.

PJ Hall leads the offense, but will have to contend with Post.

With Hall potentially contained on the inside, it will be up to Joseph Girard and Chase Hunter to get things going from the perimeter. The Eagles are 293rd in 3-point percentage allowed, and a third of their points surrendered this season have come from long range.

Betting Pick & Prediction

While both of these teams have shown that they can be fun to watch on the offensive end of the floor, this game may not be the shootout we expect.

The battle between Hall and Post will be fun to watch, but with them potentially negating the other offensively, both teams will be far less potent.

In addition to that, the even size of these teams will significantly slow down the tempo.

Take the under.

Pick: Under 152 (Play to 150.5)
