ACC play continues on Saturday as Duke hits the road to take on Wake Forest in a game that'll be filled with high motivation from both sides.

Duke is currently tied for first place in the ACC standings with its rival North Carolina, and Wake Forest is right on the bubble, hoping for a marquee win to boost its NCAA tournament chances.

Duke has been one of the very best teams in the country going all the way back to the beginning of December. The Blue Devils have won 15 of their last 17 games and are clicking at the right time. They currently hold a five-game winning streak and are coming off back-to-back road wins over Florida State and Miami last week.

They need this win to remain in line for the ACC regular season title.

On the other end, Wake Forest has won exactly half of its last 12 games. The Demon Deacons are all the way up to 20th on KenPom, and it's rare to see a team that the metrics love this much this late in the season not being a guarantee to make the Big Dance.

Wake Forest has been absolutely dominant at home, with a perfect 14-0 record in Winston-Salem this season. It doesn't own a win over a KenPom top-25 team, though, so a win here would do wonders for its postseason chances.

Duke Blue Devils

Duke owns a top-25 offense and defense, making it one of the most balanced teams in all of college basketball.

The Blue Devils' offense is up to seventh overall nationally, as they have a balanced attack and star power at all positions.

The emergence of freshman guard Jared McCain has made a massive difference for Duke. McCain dropped 35 points in the Blue Devils' road win over Florida State last week, and has tallied double-digit points in 15 of their last 18 games.

Duke has become one of the best road teams in the country; the Blue Devils are 5-2 in true road games during ACC play. They'll put that prowess to the test against a Wake team that's been excellent at home.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

While they can't match Duke's top-end talent, Wake Forest also has balance on both sides of the ball. The Demon Deacons rank in the top 30 in both offensive and defensive efficiency this season.

The home vs. road splits have been sizable. Wake Forest is 14-0 at home this year, but just 2-7 in true away games. Its only win over a top-40 opponent this season came at home against Florida in November.

Wake Forest can be overly-reliant on 3-point shooting from time to time, but it shoots it well, ranking 25th in the country by making 37% of its shots from deep.

If the Deacs can catch fire at home, it could make the difference in securing a critical Quad 1 win.

Betting Pick & Prediction

With Duke being great on the road and Wake being great at home, something will have to give here.

Duke has been better in its biggest games this season, and with McCain's current form, the Blue Devils enough firepower to get another road win.

So, back the Blue Devils on the moneyline.
