Baylor enters Tuesday night's game against Seton Hall with the nation's longest winning streak (eight) to start the season.

Seton Hall is still seeking its first quality victory after dropping games against USC and Iowa.

Baylor owns the top-ranked offense in the entire country. The names have changed in the Baylor backcourt, but the production has not, as RayJ Dennis, Ja'Kobe Walter, Jayden Nunn and Langston Love have formed arguably the most potent guard combination the sport has to offer.

Seton Hall doesn't quite have the same amount of star power, but Shaheen Holloway's Pirates have taken care of business against the teams they should beat. Seton Hall is 5-0 against teams ranked outside the top 100 on KenPom.

They're still searching for a win against a good squad, and Baylor certainly provides them with that opportunity.

Seton Hall Pirates

After a 17-16 season last year in Holloway's debut at Seton Hall, the Pirates re-tooled their roster heading into 2023-24. That resulted in four consecutive wins to start the season.

They hit some speed bumps — with back-to-back losses to USC and Iowa — before bouncing back with a win in their most recent game against Northeastern.

Kadary Richmond has been the best player for Seton Hall thus far, averaging 14.7 points per game along with 4.1 assists. Richmond has been one of the most dynamic guards in the entire sport, despite making just 9% of his shots from behind the 3-point line.

Richmond will need to be up for the challenge against the talented Baylor guards. Dennis and Walter pose the most potent scoring threats Seton Hall has had to play against since facing USC's Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier.

The Trojan guards combined for 37 points that night. Richmond scored 18 of his own, but he finished with six turnovers to just two assists in the Seton Hall loss.

Baylor Bears

Baylor has been the best offensive team in the country this year, and there haven't been many teams anywhere close to its level.

Baylor shoots 46% on 3-point shots, and to make it even tougher on opponents, it holds teams to just 26% shooting from deep. It's incredibly hard to beat Baylor with that type of discrepancy on outside shooting.

The other thing Baylor does at an elite level is rebound its misses. The Bears are sixth in the country in offensive rebound percentage, generating a second-chance opportunity 41% of the time.

Seton Hall will need to play its best game to keep this one close.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Seton Hall may feel like it has a chance here — the Pirates have been decent at defending the 3-point line and preventing offensive rebounds — but Baylor is a much different test talent-wise than the teams Seton Hall has played so far this season.

Iowa is the most similar opponent to Baylor that the Pirates have played, and Iowa won that game by 13.

This should be a 20-point win if Baylor plays to its ceiling.

Pick: Baylor -11.5
