Stanford vs West Virginia College Basketball Crown Betting Preview
While the Final Four will be the main attraction for college basketball, we have an opportunity to make a little bit of money in the College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas.
Both Stanford and West Virginia have been off for about two weeks now, so expect a bit of rust. I'll lean on the way the Cardinal finished the season, as they won six of their last eight games before losing by just one in the ACC Tournament.
West Virginia, on the other hand, finished the season losers of six of its last nine contests.
This will be a clash of styles, as West Virginia is the second-slowest team in terms of adjusted pace. While Stanford doesn't necessarily play fast (ranking 217th), it's more than 100 spots ahead of the Mountaineers.
Stanford will also have better scoring options in this game. Both teams accepted the invitation for the smaller tournament, and as of this write-up, there are no major reported opt-outs among any of the major players. So, at full strength, I expect Stanford to be able to outpace the Mountaineers.
While this is a neutral court, the proximity advantage will be with Stanford, as it'll travel just one state east.
I’ll take Stanford on the moneyline.
My Pick: Stanford ML -121
