TCU comes into this game at 19-10 overall and 9-7 in the Big 12. It's winners of six out of its last seven, including three in a row.
All season this team has proven to be one of the better defensive squads in the country thanks to its ability to create turnovers. Five players average at least one steal per game this season, with Brock Harding leading the bunch with 1.8 steals per game.
Offensively, TCU has struggled to score from the field at an effective rate. Though the Frogs are 6-1 in their last seven games, they rank 295th in effective field goal percentage (47.9%).
They rely on effort plays on both ends of the floor, with the defense forcing turnovers and the offense scoring on offensive rebounds and at the free-throw line.
Liutauras Lelevicius and Tanner Toolson combined for 26 points and seven rebounds in their win against Kansas State and will be relied upon to bring that same effort to Texas Tech.
Texas Tech Preview
Things looked bleak for Texas Tech after it lost JT Toppin for the season during its loss at Arizona State back on February 17. Since then, the Red Raiders have won three in a row, including a road win at No. 4 Iowa State.
Since losing the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, the Red Raiders have the No. 1 efficient offense in the country (via Bart Torvik).
Luke Bamgboye and Josiah Moseley have stepped up in the absence of Toppin. Bamgboye has averaged 10.3 points and 2.6 blocks during the three-game winning streak, while Moseley was huge in the win against Iowa State, finishing with 10 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in 22 minutes.
Their patience in the short rollout of the two-man game has resulted in high-quality looks for both of them, and it could be a matchup problem for TCU.
Donovan Atwell has put on a clinic from deep all season, and it's continued during the three-game winning streak, averaging 18.6 points per game on 57% from 3.
With Toppin out, teams are doubling Christian Anderson consistently once he comes off the middle ball screen. Though Anderson has turned it over at times, when he can turn the corner or throw a skip pass, Atwell seems to always be in the right place at the right time, knocking down a big-time triple.

Texas Tech's bread and butter is Christian Anderson coming off a middle-ball screen, and though he continues to fill up the stat sheet in a positive way, he also has six turnovers in each of his last two games.
To add insult to injury, opposing ball-handlers have a turnover rate of 25.5% out of the pick-and-roll against TCU while averaging 0.704 points per possession.
TCU's ability to blitz Anderson on defense will create havoc, while its aggressiveness on the offensive glass can create second-chance opportunities and foul trouble against Texas Tech's frontcourt.
