My Texas Tech vs Arizona NCAAB Betting Preview

This has the potential to be a classic. Both No. 13 Texas Tech (18-4, 9-2) and No. 20 Arizona (16-6, 10-1) enter this Big 12 battle with a 9-1 record over their last 10 games.

In fact, Arizona's lone defeat in that span is a 70-54 loss at Texas Tech. So yes, there's ample motivation for the Wildcats to get revenge on their home court.

Arizona is elite at field goal percentage defense, ranking 31st nationally (40.2). This time around the Wildcats will limit JT Toppin, who went for 20 points and 16 rebounds in the first meeting.

A key for an Arizona victory will also be on the glass. Arizona was out-rebounded by 16 in the first matchup. Look for a gang rebounding effort by the Wildcats to help Tobe Awaka on the boards. Awaka will once again be a presence in the paint and should have double-digit points.

Expect a better shooting performance from Caleb Love, too. The senior guard shot 3-for-13 overall and 0-for-5 on 3-pointers in the first loss. However, Love's stroke has returned, as he's made nine of his last 18 3-pointers across the last two games.

Red Raiders senior guard Chance McMillian (45%) is shooting the 3-ball at a proficient clip this season. But Arizona will close out quickly and locate him in transition.

Texas Tech is 5-0 on the road. However, the Red Raiders are 1-2 this season vs. AP Top 25 teams.

This obviously won't be easy, but Arizona (-2.5) will muster just enough to cover and squeak past Texas Tech to earn a significant conference victory.
