Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview

The Wildcats' SEC gauntlet continues this week as they head to Athens a week after getting trounced by South Carolina.

Kentucky started off hot with its ground game, but the passing woes of quarterback Cutter Boley put it behind in the second quarter, and it was unable to dig itself out in the second half.

A similar script is expected this week as the Georgia Bulldogs' defense has been excellent against the rush, ranking 24th in yards per rush allowed.

With running back Seth McGowan contained and the passing attack abysmal, the outlook for Kentucky's offense is bleak in this matchup.

As for the defensive side of the ball, Kentucky has been solid against the run, but it's been hurt by explosive pass plays.

That's what the Wildcats are going to see in Georgia's offense, as the Bulldogs have multiple efficient ball carriers and a quarterback who's shown he can stretch the field when needed.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

On the other side of this matchup, you have a Georgia Bulldogs team that's in need of a bounce-back performance. They dropped a game at home against Alabama, and their defense was exposed through the air.

However, their offense wasn't the issue, as they averaged 6.9 yards per carry. This is a matchup where the Bulldogs can dictate it by dominating on the trenches on both sides of the ball.

We already talked about how they have a big edge defensively over Kentucky, and if they can establish the run, we should see things open up through the air.

Look for Georgia to come out hot on both sides of the ball as it looks to wipe the slate clean after last week.

Kentucky vs Georgia College Football Pick to Bet

The market has this game pegged to be a blowout, and the separation is likely to come early, as the first-half spread and total are significantly higher than what's expected in the second half.

Back the Bulldogs to roll early and cover the first-quarter spread.

Pick: Georgia 1Q -6.5
