The Cincinnati Bengals (8-8) and Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) close the NFL Saturday doubleheader at Acrisure Stadium. Kickoff for is set for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC and ESPN+.
Beyond spread and total bets, I'm looking at Bengals vs. Steelers anytime TD scorers and I have a pick for each team on Saturday night.
Here are my three anytime touchdown scorer bets for Saturday's contest.
Bengals vs. Steelers Anytime Touchdown Scorers
- Pat Freiermuth Anytime Touchdown (+310)
- Mike Gesicki Anytime Touchdown (+310)
- Joe Burrow Anytime Touchdown (+1200)
The odds have shifted hard for Bengals TD scorers over the second half of the season as QB Joe Burrow continues to play on God Mode — he has three or more touchdown passes in eight straight games.
Gone are the days when you could get WR Tee Higgins at +190 or RB Chase Brown at +125 as both are now close to minus odds to score.
That’s why I’m considering pivoting to TE Mike Gesicki, who is coming off a 12-target game vs. the Broncos and leads all Bengals TEs in red-zone targets.
Given the stakes for the Bengals, I’m going to sprinkle on QB Joe Burrow as he tends to save his legs for big spots, and with the injury to Brown, it’s a decent price at +1200 for a QB sneak in a must-win game.
The fun side for touchdown props is the Steelers side given how horrendous the Bengals pass defense has been this season.
Cincinnati ranks 26th in defensive DVOA vs. the pass and 24th vs. tight ends this season. So, logically, I love TE Pat Freiermuth at +310.
Freiermuth has been held out of the end zone over the last two games, but we saw Freiermuth's target rate increase (eight targets vs. Chiefs in Week 17) with WR George Pickens back.
If you want to pair the QBs and take Russell Wilson at +500 to score, I’d be OK with it, but Freiermuth is my favorite bet for this game.
Picks:Pat Freiermuth +310 (FanDuel)| Mike Gesicki +330 (FanDuel) | Sprinkle on Joe Burrow +1200 (Caesars)
