Royals vs. Angels Odds & Betting Predictions - September 25, 2025

I’m surprised we’re getting KC as an F5 dog here. Stephen Kolek has been excellent since joining the team. He’s allowed 5 ERs over 4 starts. He’s gone 6+ innings in every start. The Royals have made some interesting arsenal tweaks, having Kolek more than double the changeup usage (8.8% to 20.4%) while fading the cutter and sinker (43% to 24.6%). Kolek has ramped up his already-high ground ball rate from 50% to 55%, while adding a bit in the strikeout department. The hard-hit numbers are still bad, but that’s typically with an extreme ground ball guy. Yusei Kikuchi has been blasted for 21 ERs over his last 23.1 IP. He has an ugly 15:12 K:BB in that stretch. Kansas City has scuffled against lefties, but they should be able to stack a bunch of righties against Kikuchi. He has hefty splits this season.
