Entering this matchup, White Sox starter Sean Burke ranks in the top third of the league in xERA, xBA, strikeout rate and hard-hit rate. He also enters this game in fantastic form, allowing two or fewer runs in each of his past five starts.

Toronto's woes at the dish are likely to continue against Burke. In 36 combined plate appearances against the right-hander, this current Blue Jays roster owns a mere .219 batting average, .344 slugging percentage and .291 weighted on-base average.

The hitting advantage in this game goes to the White Sox, as they rank in the top 10 in runs scored per game, slugging percentage, OPS and home runs. They outrank Toronto in each of those four categories.

Offensively, the Mets have gotten on track of late, posting a 106 wRC+ since June 20th (9th). One of their key areas of strength is drawing walks, as they rank second with a 10.1% BB% in that span. Power is another area where they thrive, clobbering 39 homers in their past 28 games (6th).

Juan Soto is so good that it's almost ridiculous. He owns an 183 wRC+ in his last 26 games with a 25% walk rate and five homers. The Phillies will likely pitch around him and force others to beat them. Lately, that's been working for the Mets, as five other lineup regulars have a wRC+ better than 100.

Philly's starter Alan Rangel owns a 4.19 ERA with a 3.48 xERA and 4.39 FIP in five outings (19 1/3 innings). I'm not sure if I buy Rangel, though. Once opposing teams face him more often, I don't know if he can maintain his strong strikeout numbers. He hasn't been "lucky" so far, but his 4.19 BB/9 and 1.40 HR/9 don't jump off the page.

This line is very interesting—the Mets, who are nearly 20 games under .500 as road favorites against the Phillies?

It's not a trap, and I think the Mets are the proper play here. Rangel's walk issues can be problematic, and Nolan McLean is being priced like the ace that he is.

Pick: Mets ML (-145 or Better)

There is a value opportunity on Luis Arraez's stolen bases prop.

THE BAT X is projecting 0.11 stolen bases for the Giants second baseman with a 10% chance that he records at least one stolen base.

Under 8.5 (+100)

We're going with Dodgers/Yankees Under 8.5 runs.

Emmet Sheehan has performed well lately, allowing two earned runs or fewer in three consecutive outings. We just saw him rack up seven strikeouts against the Diamondbacks in his last outing.

With a 3.88 xERA that is much lower than his 4.81 ERA, we could see Sheehan start to show some positive regression, where his surface stats start to align more with his overall skills. Bet on Sheehan putting forth a quality outing against the Yankees, just like Roki Sasaki did on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ryan Weathers will look to build off a quality outing vs. the Nationals, where he allowed only one earned run in 5.1 innings vs. a tough lineup.

We're getting a +100 price on this Under, making it a nice value.

Pick: Under 8.5 (+100)
