Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons NBA Preview
By Nick Galaida
Ausar Thompson should be in line for an expanded workload tonight, with the Pistons missing both Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.
In three games with Cunningham and Ivey both inactive, Thompson has recorded two games of 6+ rebounds, with the lone exception being a game in which he was limited to nine minutes due to foul trouble. In the two games in which he played 20+ minutes in that sample, Thompson had 10 rebound chances and 9 rebound chances, respectively.
Overall this season, Thompson has secured 5+ rebounds in 23 of 31 games in which he's played 20+ minutes, including 12 of 17 games at home. This is good value, given Detroit's injury situation.
Best Bet: Ausar Thompson Over 4.5 Rebounds (-130)
Cavaliers vs Pistons Parlay Picks
I'm following the tea leaves here and betting on Donovan Mitchell potentially getting the night off for the Cavaliers after playing 35 minutes in yesterday's win over the Spurs.
If that's the case, this line is simply too low for Mobley, who has 3+ assists in each of the last six games he's played in which Mitchell has been inactive.
