The Minnesota Timberwolves face off against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night in a game that’s critically important for the Western Conference standings.

The Timberwolves are trying to stay out of the Play-In, while the Suns are trying to secure their spot there.

One player that has found success in this match up against the Suns is Julius Randle. Randle plays a bit of a bruising style of ball where he uses his physicality to dominate on the interior.

He has scored 35, 28, and 20 against them this season and 20+ in six straight games versus them. He is also averaging 18.6 ppg this season, with a 57% hit rate on this prop line. I’ll back Randle to keep crushing the Suns tonight.

Pick: Julius Randle Over 17.5 Points (-121)

This one is a bit of an angle shoot, but we currently aren't projecting Donovan Mitchell to play on the second half of a back-to-back, and considering this spread is at 5.5 with the Pistons also missing Cade Cunningham, I am buying that notion.

Garland projects for nearly 24 points in this matchup without Mitchell, and he is averaging nearly 26 points per game when Mitchell sits. I'll back Garland to score 19+ points tonight.

Pick: Darius Garland Over 18.5 Points (-120)

With Steph Curry upgraded to questionable, the Warriors moved from -11.5-point road favorites to -14.5 for Friday night’s matchup against a shorthanded Pelicans team missing multiple key players. Zion Williamson (back), CJ McCollum (foot), Trey Murphy III (shoulder), Dejounte Murray (Achilles) and Herbert Jones (shoulder) are all ruled out.

Given the implications, this game may end up in a rout, with the Warriors' bench players getting significant minutes. As a result, it might make sense to take more of a bearish approach to Golden State’s player props.

Jimmy Butler is one player who comes to mind, considering he has a rebounds + assists prop listed at 12.5. Butler has stayed under this number eight for eight straight road games and 69% (31 of 45) of his games this season.

His season average is 11.09 rebounds + assists with a median of 10, so this current line does feel like a reach in this spot, especially if we anticipate him playing fewer minutes. Bet365 has the best odds available at -130, and I’ll gladly swallow the juice for a chance at the under.

Pick: Jimmy Butler Under 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-140)

We're not talking about the Thunder or Cavaliers, as progress is measured differently for a team like the Raptors.
