Magic vs. Pistons
The Orlando Magic are one win away from knocking off the top-seeded Detroit Pistons. While the Eastern Conference's eighth seed fell short of preseason expectations in 2025-26, it's found its stride at the perfect time.
Offense has not been a strength for either team in this series, as Orlando and Detroit are combining for 198.5 points per game in the first round. Both sides are shooting less than 42.0% from the field. However, the books are underestimating at least one of the key scorers in this pairing ahead of tip-off on Wednesday.
Franz Wagner eclipsed 20.0 points per game for a second consecutive season this year and was the Magic's leading scorer before getting injured. The versatile wing has taken the fourth-most shots (57) for Orlando in this series, but is averaging 16.8 points per contest.
The former Michigan Wolverine isn't a priority on offense, but has only fallen short of 17 points once so far this postseason. He'll likely get opportunities to take over in a closeout game with Paolo Banchero, Desmond Bane, and Jalen Suggs shooting less than 40.0% from the field in the first round.
He scored more than 20 points in both of his regular-season meetings with Detroit, so his body of work against its stingy defense speaks for itself.
Pick: Franz Wagner Over 15.5 Points (-115)
Raptors vs. Cavaliers
The Toronto Raptors climbed back into their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers with back-to-back wins after suffering a pair of double-digit losses in Games 1 and 2. Now they have a chance to secure their first lead in the first-round matchup on Wednesday.
Cleveland's positional size in the frontcourt has been a strength when it comes to rebounding, but Evan Mobley hasn't been nearly as successful against Toronto as he has against other teams.
The Cavaliers' starting power forward averaged at least 9.0 rebounds for a fourth consecutive season this year, but only managed to haul in 7.3 boards per contest through three meetings with the Raptors this past regular season. That's his lowest average against any team he's faced at least three times in 2025-26.
Mobley's matchup against Scottie Barnes is the Raptors' leading rebounder, and Toronto is winning the offensive rebounding battle by a narrow margin this series. Bettors should feel good about taking the under for Mobley against a team he's reached his regular-season average against twice in seven meetings this campaign.
Pick: Evan Mobley Under 8.5 Rebounds (-102)
Rockets vs. Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers weren't able to pull off a sweep against the Houston Rockets, but they will get another chance to eliminate them in Game 5 at the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday. The home team appears set to get a key contributor back ahead of its second closeout opportunity.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday that Austin Reaves expects to return from his oblique injury and suit up for the first time since early April. The Lakers guard will give his team some much-needed scoring and playmaking, which will likely lessen the workloads of role players who have been filling in during his absence.
Luke Kennard likely has the most to lose from Reaves' probable insertion into the starting lineup. The sharpshooter averaged 8.2 points per game through 26 outings with Reaves during the regular season and recorded series lows in minutes (32) and points (7) in Game 4.
The former Duke Blue Devil can still be an important bench contributor, but double-digits in points will likely be out of reach for him if Reaves comes close to the 34.5 minutes he averaged during the regular season.
