NBA PrizePicks & Underdog Plays for Monday, December 23
- Jordan Poole Less Than 20.5 Points
- Nikola Jokic More Than 29.5 Points
Jordan Poole has been playing good basketball recently, and he's been getting great volume, but he's likely not going to be terribly efficient in this spot.
He gets the toughest matchup on the board tonight as Washington faces the Thunder, who have been by far the best defensive team in the league this season, and are just slightly above average in pace.
The Thunder have allowed the least amount of points per game to opposing point guards this season and rank near the bottom in 3-pointers allowed as well, where Poole gets most of his production from.
Add in the fact that this game could become a massive blowout quickly, and this projection is simply far too high for Poole.
Pick: Jordan Poole Less Than 20.5 Points
Nikola Jokic has been scoring a little less recently than he was earlier in the year, but he gets a great spot here against the Suns, who have been one of the worst teams in the league vs. the center position this season, allowing the 3rd most points per game.
This game has a close spread, and although this is the second end of a back-to-back, Jokic has been great on back-to-backs this season.
I have Jokic projected to clear this number 58% of the time, making this an excellent play.
