Thunder vs Spurs NBA Preview

The Thunder and Spurs are two of the only teams in which we aren't expecting to see a ton of trade deadline activity.

Still, the injuries will be worth waiting for.

Let's remember that Oklahoma City is 1-3 against San Antonio, but won the last outing between these two by a score of 119-98 on January 13.

For the Thunder, Jalen Williams (hamstring) and Ajay Mitchell (abdominal strain) both sat out yesterday's win over the Magic. Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber are both out for the year.

For the Spurs, Jeremy Sochan (quad) is out — and also in trade rumors. Lindy Waters (knee) is out as well.

More notably, Stephon Castle (thigh) is questionable.

Thunder vs Spurs Predictions, Betting Analysis

I'm tailing my guy Joe Dellera here, who has a really good angle on Devin Vassell going over 12.5 points.

I think it's a good callout, as Vassell has been productive since returning from injury.

The Spurs' guard has surpassed that line in three of four games since returning to the lineup.

His floor has been 13 points in these overs, on 10, 12 and 13 shots respectively.

His one under was a 2-for-7 showing against the Rockets — who are, well, the Rockets.

Vassell has logged totals of 25, 23, 30, and 28 minutes — in that order.

Ideally, he'd remain around that 30-mark, which should get him enough volume, and possibly, an over.

So, as long as he doesn't have a miserable shooting night, Vassell should be able to clear 12.5 points in this spot.

Pick: Devin Vassell Over 12.5 points (-125, bet365)
