Minnesota Wild vs. New Jersey Devils NHL Preview

By The Degenerates

The Minnesota Wild head to New Jersey to take on the Devils and we're backing the Wild on the moneyline. At plus money this is great value to get and bet on the team playing better hockey right now.

The Wild are 41-28-5 and currently sit in the first wild-card position with 87 points and eight games to play. They have a six-point lead on the Canucks and seven-point lead on the Flames and every game is important down the stretch.

The Devils are 39-29-7 with 85 points and are trying stay in third place in the Metro and not fall into a wild-card spot. New Jersey got out to a great start to the season but is only 13-14-3 in its last 30 games.

Jack Hughes was one of the Devils' best players and he's been out for a few weeks and isn't returning this season. The Devils have lost eight of the 14 games since Hughes' injury and have only averaged 2.71 goals per game.

Minnesota is the second most profitable team to bet on the road this season as the Wild have won 22 of 36 road games for a +8.7 net units. New Jersey has the ninth-worst home record this season and has only won 17 of 35 games inside the Prudential Center, costing bettors 8.2 units.

These teams played once this season and it was on Saturday with the Devils winning 5-2. We're expecting the Wild to get one back on them tonight and at plus money will definitely take a stab at it.

Best Bet: Wild Moneyline
