Siakam is coming off of a triple double last night against the Philadelphia 76ers and now gets a rematch from last Sunday against the Phoenix Suns. In the last 3 games without Hali, he has assist totals of 7, 4, and 10 while averaging 10.3 potentials per game. That 7 assist game was against the Suns. Siakam has seen sky high usage in these games as well, averaging 28.3% which aligns more closely with how he was used in Toronto prior to this season. Clearly getting more comfortable in this offense. His role seemingly mirrors what is was as a Raptor (he’s averaged 5+ assists per season since ‘21-‘22). I also see this as a good spot for his assists, as Durant’s length should make it difficult for him around the bucket.
