Those six defenses he faced averaged a 53% assist rate allowed, while UVA allows just a 48.2% assist rate. The Hokies also have an implied team total of 73.5 points, which is five points fewer than the 78.5 they averaged in those six games. That's in part because UVA is a great shot stopping team, ranking 17th nationally in eFG% defense. Another subtle factor is that Avdalas may be asked to be more of an inside presence with F Tyler Johnson and C Antonio Dorn out, meaning he may take a higher percentage of shots himself, or just not be in position to dish out assists as easily. I'm projecting 4.6 in 33 minutes of play with around a 65% chance to stay under, but even if he played the full 40 with some missing pieces (he has yet to top 33 minutes in regulation) I'd project this as a coinflip to stay under.
