Jones is poised for a standout performance Thursday tonight. The Vikings offense has been firing on all cylinders, and he has established a noticeable gap in workload compared to RB Ty Chandler, solidifying his position as the team's primary running back as long as he’s healthy. Jones put on an impressive display against Detroit when he was “week to week” carrying the ball 14 times for 93 yards and scoring a touchdown. His average of 6.6 yards per carry was his second-highest this season, just shy of the 6.7 yards per carry he averaged in Week 1 against the NY Giants. Thankfully, Jones mentioned to reporters that his hamstring felt “no problems” during Week 7 and reassured everyone that it’s “not so much of a concern.” Now with an impressive average of 5.2 yards per carry, Jones faces a Rams defense that is allowing 4.7 yards per carry and ranks third in the league for the most rushing yards surrendered this season. Remarkably, Aaron Jones has surpassed this yard line in all but one game this season, with yardage totals of 94, 102, 93, and 93. Additionally, the Rams have allowed at least 70 rushing yards to opposing running backs in every game this season. This is a great spot for Jones as long as they give him the ball and Vikings don’t play too much of a pass heavy scheme then Jones should get some good yardage here.

Hit in 10/L11 primetime games with Kupp in the lineup Kupp returning should give this pass game a big boost and there are rumors that Puka could be active tonight as well. Pretty sure if he is active, he will be on limited snaps, but that still helps open up options for others. Vikings have the 2nd ranked run defense and the 30th ranked pass defense allowing 260.3 YPG through the air The Lions are a similar defense to the Vikings with bad pass defense and great run defense and that was the only game Stafford had Kupp in this season, he threw for 317 yards

In one healthy game without Puka, he has 14 receptions on 21 TARGETS 🤯. Now there are rumblings that Puka could play tonight, but I don't think he does. Even if he does, I'd imagine he'll be limited. MIN blitzes at the highest rate of any defense this season, which means Stafford and Co. likely have to get the ball out quickly. That's specifically why I like receptions over yards for tonight. WR1's have crushed this secondary: DET: St. Brown - 8 for 112, TD NYJ: Wilson - 13 for 101, TD GB: Reed - 7 for 139, TD TEX: Diggs - 10 for 94 SF: Deebo - 8 for 110 NYG: Nabers - 5 for 66 As we know Kupp plays primarily out of the slot so he'll get plenty of Byron Murphy Jr. tonight. He has not graded out well in coverage (60.2) and is allowed a 73.1% reception rate, 11.3 yards per reception and holds a 23.5 missed tackle rate. Other slot WR's have cooked him in matchup, such as St. Brown, Diggs and Reed. Really like this spot for Kupp tonight I'm what could easily be a negative game script.

In a good spot vs the zone heavy rams on a short week Darnold should be able to put up good numbers without needing to pass much. Lot of scenarios could also play out to help us here - good jones run game, blowout, rams control the clock at home to keep Vikings offense off the field. 🔬Only Minshew last week playing behind with the raiders has thrown 32+ times this season vs the rams defense.
