Cubs vs. Orioles Odds & Betting Predictions - July 8, 2026

Colin Rea is a complete fade, and I think this Orioles lineup will crush him today. Rea currently has a 4.74 ERA with a 5.50 xERA and 4.71 SIERA. He’s as bad, if not worse, than his current ERA suggests and is getting barreled at a 10.8% rate. He’s striking out just 17.2% of batters and owns a concerning .273 xBA. I love this Orioles lineup, and I think they’re in for a huge offensive surge for the rest of the year. Baltimore has also had good results against Rea in 41 plate appearances, hitting .257 with a .281 xBA. Once Rea exits, the Cubs brutal bullpen will take over. They’ve been awful and will be pitching in a tough environment today. Dean Kremer gets the start for Baltimore. He looked good in his first start back from injury. Kremer doesn’t have the best stuff ever, but he gets outs. In 2026, he’s striking out 30.8% of batters and is allowing hard contact just 33.3% of the time. The Cubs offense is good, but they are significantly worse on the road. At Wrigley, they are hitting .255 compared to just .234 on the road. They are also worse against right handed pitching. The Orioles bullpen is solid, especially since Tyler Wells returned. This bullpen should be in a good rest spot tonight as well. All in all, I think the Orioles have too many advantages here. Give me Baltimore to win.
