Interesting line. Mobley averaged 16.2 ppg last season. Jarrett Allen hasn’t played at all this preseason and is one more missed practice away from being ruled out. Even if he does play, he’d definitely be limited, and Mobley would get the bulk of the center minutes (Mobley averaged 2 pts more per 32 mins last season without Allen on the floor, and cleared this line in 9/13 full games without him).
And the nets were bad vs centers last season - allowing the 5th most pts per game. Not seeing much to change that this season (maybe Clowney or Simmons later in the year - but Clowney likely not in the rotation to start, and it’s seems like DayRon sharpe is going to get run behind Claxton). And Mitchell likely has the Mikal matchup.
Mobley got progressively better as last season rolled on (17.5 ppg post all star break). I like him to take another step this season.
