Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves Odds & Betting Predictions - March 23, 2024

Over in 4/8 without KAT. Really would’ve been 5 had he not left early with 17 in his last game due to the head injury

This one is admittedly scary considering he’s averaging 31.8 PPG in the 9 games playing without Karl-Anthony Towns, but remove the 34+ PTS games vs. bottom-16 defenses (IND, UTA, & SAS), this number drops to 28.7 PPG. And one of these games came against the same team he’s playing tonight - The Cleveland Cavs (19 PTS). On the season, they rank 3rd best in limiting PNR BH PTS (23% of his PPG) and are top-10 in limiting transition PTS & points inside the paint over the last 8 games without Evan Mobley. The defensive assignment will undoubtedly come from Isaac Okoro here. He’s been doing a great job limiting opposing team’s best players in coverage including: Lillard 9-34 FG, J. Brown 1-11 FG, Ant 2-10 FG, Paolo 2-10 FG, & Tatum 3-8 FG. So while Ant may dominate USG%, this is not a spot where his shots will come easy, & I’m banking on the poor shot quality to outweigh the efficiency here. #PlayerProps

The Timberwolves take on the Cavaliers tonight and both teams are missing key offensive players with Donovan Mitchell for the Cavs and KAT for the Wolves. One player to target is our favorite French Fry, Rudy Gobert. Gobert has had solid history against Allen, in 8 career games he has averaged 14.4 points, 14.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. One of those games he played just 13 mins so removing that game he averages 15.6 points, 16.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Moreover, without KAT, Gobert sees a larger share of the rebounding opportunities. Without KAT, he is averaging 15.2 rebounds per game this season including a 17 rebound effort on an absurd 31 rebounding chances against the Cavaliers on 3/8. That game went to OT but Gobert didn’t play after hitting the refs with the money sign 🤌🤌 I’m doing the combo prop with assists because Gobert has actually seen an uptick in potentials without KAT. On the season, he averages 1.2 on 2.0 potentials but without KAT he’s at 1.8 on 3.25 potentials. The floor is fairly high for 1 extra dime to justify going from 13.5 Rebounds to 14.5 RA and there is a bit of extra upside as well. Gobert (rib) should thrive in this matchup as long as he plays. I like him to exceed 14.5 RA.
