Celtics vs. Knicks Odds & Betting Predictions - February 9, 2025

The Knicks and Celtics face off and I’m targeting Hauser. The Knicks have this tendency to help off of shooters and overhelp a bit on drives, especially without OG Anunoby. This is a spot for Hauser to benefit. When Jrue has been out, Hauser is over this line in 5/7 games and averaging 9.7 points. When he’s gone over he’s also hit 1.5 3s in each of those with 3+ in 4/7 if you want to pivot there. He’s scored 6, 15, and 10 in his last 3 games against the Knicks so there’s some ceiling here as well. I prefer the 3 3s to 10+ points because it gives us the win at 9 instead considering his shot profile is so heavily loaded on 3 pointers.

It's not often you get a chance to back the Celtics after losing outright at home as a double digit favorite - but that's exactly what we have tonight. Boston has been a bit shaky at home this season, but incredibly consistent on the road, going 20-6 SU including winning 11 of their last 15 away from home. The defense should be much sharper in this matchup, against a Knicks team that is looking to prove it can compete for the Eastern Conference crown. Boston is an awesome 14-1 this season off a loss, and 19-4 ATS overall as a road favorite. While the Knicks' play has been impressive of late, they lack the depth that Boston has and it has shown in elite matchups, as New York is just 1-4 this season vs teams power rated in the top 5 (consensus). I'll back the Celtics laying a small number in a bounce back spot.

Jrue Holiday was already ruled out for tomorrow, and Jaylen Brown has cleared this line in 10 straight games w/o Holiday 33/24/27/29/28/23/44/31/25/25 Knicks have also been a pretty favorable matchup to SF’s, giving up 21 to Rui Hachimura, 19 to Cam Whitmore, and 13 to Ja’Kobe Walter. No OG Anunoby either which doesn’t hurt
